It was action galore at the third leg of the Coca Cola Regional Club Challenge at Otjiwarongo on Saturday 24 February 2018 at the Pareisis Park. As expected the event did not disappoint with new emerging talent being unearthed. Gerson Kangwiya dominated both the 800m and 400m men and the races probably represented a change of guard after Daniel Nghipandulwa who has dominated the event over the last 12 years was out ran by the younger and upcoming athletes. Desiree Kandovazu continued her dominance of the 400 and 200m. In the sprints for juniors, Hummel Raymond is showing a lot of promise and should be a name to watch out for in the future. The event was jointly held together with the Securiatas Edugate Prestige Athletics event.
