Athletics Namibia is resuming with its activities. This is after the athletics events were halted and postponed due to Covid 19 state of emergency regulations. There are still 3 track and field events to go. 

AN Grand prix leg 4 will be on the 31 October at Independence Stadium in  Windhoek.

Grand prix leg 5 will take place in Oshakati on 07th November. 

AN senior National track and  field championship will take place in Windhoek on the 13-14 November 2020.

Entry forms for leg 4 is already out to regions and Athletics clubs across the country are expected to submit entries for their athletes with entries ending in the 28 October 2020.

“With the National youth games slated for December, these grand prix legs will provide junior athletes a chance to prepare well for the youth games”

“We expect more entries as athletes are eager to return back to competition.  Some athletes have been really working hard to improve their performances.”

Athletes are also looking forward to the grand prix  legs to improve their world and national rankings. 

With the regulations in gatherings relaxed, AN expect few spectators and for the well being of the athletes and public, all health protocols will be observed.
