Chritine Mboma and Beatrice Masilingi took part in their first major international competition at the Josef Odlozil Memorial competition in Prague, Czech Republic. Christine won the women 200m in a new Meet record time of 22.67 seconds and in the process setting a new Namibian record. Christine powered from behind to beat Gina Bass of Gambia and her compatriot Beatrice Masilingi into second and third place, at the finish line respectively. Beatrice also put in a good time of 22.82 seconds in third place. Christine and Beatrice have both qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in a few weeks time.
